Keep on washing your hands… Posted On 29 April 2020

With some stores reopening, it’s more important than ever to keep on top of the simple things we can do to help stay safe.

Washing your hands is one of the simplest ways to protect yourself and others from illness. Properly washing your hands removes dirt, viruses and bacteria to stop them from spreading to other people and objects. This is particularly important in the fight against Covid-19.

You should always wash your hands after using the toilet, before and after eating, after blowing your nose, sneezing and coughing, after visiting a public space, after touching money and before and after caring for the sick or vulnerable.

Even though most supermarkets and shops are rubbing down trolleys and hand baskets, keep an extra bottle of hand sanitiser on you so you can wash your hands before and after using them. If you receive an online shop, wash your hands after putting all the products away.

If you are doing deliveries for loved ones outside your household, wash your hands before seeing them and after too, to protect yourself and others. And, if possible, wipe down the contents of the shopping you are delivering.

By following the simple guidelines, together we can beat Coronavirus!
